Profit matching:

Do you work for a company that offers profit matching? (Many banks do this) Would you help us to double out money please?

Please invite family and friends to make this day a success.

We have to raise every penny that we spend and we either spend that money on boring stuff like utilities and insurance or cool stuff like go karts, archery kit etc! Nothing is wasted.

Autumn Subs are due

It’s that time again…

Running a scout group is very very expensive and we rely on subs to cover all the basics.

Subs are £48 per term and need to be paid by half term (Friday November 2nd) – please pay online if you have a debit or credit card.

All the info for subs payments etc is online

Check out  the video above to see how we have been spending your money,

Young leader module A… Tick

We are very lucky at The Fifth to have a bunch of teenagers who give up their time to help with the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.

Before we set off to camp, we got them together and we worked through the first module of their training.

Term draws to a close

Let’s keep the last post of the year simple.

Thank you to everybody who ran everyday adventure for our young people.
The leaders who turn out each week, who plan and who train to earn qualifications.

The people in the background who build, paint, drill, saw and help us grow.

The paperworkers who let the leaders do the fun stuff while the subs are collected, gift aid completed, accounts audited, finances recorded, waiting lists managed etc.

Thanks to the parents who trust us with their kids and who budget and save to send their kids away with us.

Finally a thank you to our beavers, cubs, scouts and explorers who make The Fifth one of the best groups in the district.

Explorers after the hike

The 8 who braved the rain made it back by 9.30. Nobody got lost and the incidents were all completed painlessly. Congratulations to Maddie, imy, jack and Sammy who were the winning team.

Gilwell 24 – Flood

It’s morning the floor of the tent is under water, so sitting in deck chairs works, staying awake is still a challenge but if you fall off the chair into a puddle it wakes you up
