The explorers bundled down to Frylands wood to see who could make the most adventurous and imaginative meal over a fire.
The winner was Dave Cole with his 100% homemade calzone.

Well what an amazing time the lightning scouts had at this event. Two teams were entered – kit kats and krispy Kreme (obviously they were hungry when picking team names)
Fantastic effort from all 9 scouts that took part seeing us come 9th (Krispy Kreme) and 11th (Kit Kats)

They’ve been to Sainsbury’s,
And are cooking up a feast
Some have been adventurous
And others are cooking bacon butties
Halfway through the day, we’ve seen vultures, falcons, owls and eagles. Later we’ll see meerkats and the cheetah (we hope)
