While the rest are doing karaoke on the PS2 in the top hut but we have been banned from taking pictures.

In the meantine:
If every family does this and spends £250 on the internet between now and Christmas (including tesco, sainsbury’s, waitrose and asda), we would earn about £300 in a month ish. Just by sitting at a computer.
No effort fundraising:
We get a donation from hundreds of internet shops (all the big ones and many small ones) and it is so easy… you don’t need to register, fill in extra forms etc…

Never miss an opportunity
Download and install the toolbar and it will make sure that you never miss a chance to donate to the 5th and it offers you bargains and deals from the shops you visit.
Please take the time to do this. It’s free money for us. Sometimes the donations are quite significant – i bought a bike rack in June from Evans for £140 and in return, we earned over £5 . Lots of £30 purchases add up to lots of £1 donations.  It costs nothing to you.
Bargains
with the toolbar, i have the opportunity when i visit a page to click ‘yes’ to donate to the 5th. When i do that, it pings me first to a page of voucher codes etc that could save me money. It’s been rather useful on occasion.

Brilliant night. Such good fun and something that Phil only runs every couple of years because it is expensive but 14 explorers piled into the minibus for a night of go karting.

The Fifth had a wonderful turnout from all sections, in smart uniforms (for the most part) and brilliant behaviour (from everybody). Following remembrance themed activities for some of the sections, we invited them all to parade at Beckenham War Memorial on Sunday Morning. The hight street was closed off and with a parade that was 50% 5th Beckenham South, we walked to a memorial that is inscribed with the names of over 1,200 Beckenham residents who lost their lives fighting for their country. Their behaviour was perfect and the weather was glorious for a very special day.

They might be a scruffy lot but they did their duty and were a credit to us.

And it was currytastic. Chicken tikka masala, chicken Balti, beef balti, lamb tomato and aubergine, chick pea curry and prawn tikka with pineapple.

Our explorers joined 150 others from across the new Bromley Scout District for MESH VIII (Mixing Explorer Scouts Holiday).
They took part in Medieval themed activities throughout the weekend and we even used our Tipi Stove for the first time. (Thank you Awards for All)

Here are our medieval explorers ready for the disco.
10 explorers from our Vultures ESU have joined 150 other explorers from across Bromley for the annual Mesh Camp.
Camp was set up painlessly

And now they are all in the marquee watching Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Last Wednesday, the explorers made their own pizza dough and toppings and they all made something edible! Check out the photos below for a really successful evening, they even got their dough to rise.
Maybe they just need a few more washing up lessons but this was a great night for the leaders and explorers.
