Cub camp alert

Dear all,
A quick update from the advanced party of Cub camp. Please don’t underestimate how cold the nights are here. Our kit list for Cubs says a “good quality” sleeping bag ( follow the link below ). Please don’t send Cubs to camp with “sleepover” type sleeping bags Click Here. I understand that this is short notice so please instead pack plenty of extra clothes for Cubs to layer up and sleep in. Wooly hats are especially good.
Don’t worry, the forcast for the daytimes is great here so it’s still going to be a fab weekend and please don’t forget the sun cream.

It’s rather cold and damp here at Cub Camp. Make sure you bring plenty of layers and waterproofs

Chil Chinese Chow

I popped into the hut and found a kitchen turning out quality Chinese food and all running on child labour. Very happy child labour!

Well done to all of them.

A “not” so average night for Chil!

Our evening in a nutshell…Learning new skills, teamwork with a touch of improvisation thrown in! We love a challenge…

Pizza and dough balls

Some of Rikki make garlic dough balls …

Others, not quite so much …

But happy none the less  🙂

Half a beautiful hut

While we’ve been enjoying our time off, John has been hard at work sanding and painting the hut. He’s done half of it.and it looks awesome.

Woe betide any child trying to scrape this paint away!

Merry Christmas from all of us (video post)

We hope that you have a very merry Christmas and here’s a little video from all the scouts and explorers from our 2012 Christmas Card:

We would not be aboe to run without the support of many people and we hope you’ll keep being as wonderful in 2013.
