Waiting List Policy

The 5th sadly has to operate waiting lists for all its sections.
We accept as many kids as we can each term but we have to refuse far more than we accept.
All of our leaders work full time and are volunteers and we run all the sections at maximum capacity.

Why are we so oversubscribed?

I once sat down and listed all the primary schools that our members attend.
I worked out that there are about 1,400 kids who could attend our beavers and we only have 48 spaces. The other colony in Beckenham has 24 spaces.
Between us we meet the needs of less than five percent of local 6 and 7 year olds
